AlcohoLix’s Mixes is a Drink interaction system created for VRChat which focuses on realistic pouring, mixing and effect-driven gameplay. It’s designed for both VR and Desktop players, and is fully cross compatible with Quest and iOS.
The system was created to be sold to other VRChat creators, meaning a lot of focus was put into creating an easy to use and set up system for those with little Unity knowledge
The system is currently for sale on Gumroad and has a full 5 star rating. It’s also been used on VRChat worlds reaching over 150, 000 visitors.
Key Features
The System is still resiving updates to help with Optimization. This shows the difference between the original version of the system compared to the current system.
The next gif shows one of the Major optimization fixes added. A setting called “Update Interval Frames” which lets creators change how often the Liquid Script sends update messages to the Shader. More frames between updates is more optimized, but will also look more choppy.
On PC the visual effects are made using Post Processing combined with a Shader that uses Grab Pass for some of the visual distortions. But on Quest, these effects would not work due to limitations on the platform, so another method is used to create these effects
